Frequently Asked Questions About Hypnotherapy

What is hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy which is also known as clinical hypnosis is the therapeutic use of hypnosis.

Does hypnotherapy work?

Providing you are treated by a professional and reputable hypnotherapist with the right treatments for you, you can achieve excellent results. Hypnotherapy often helps when other treatments struggle or fail.

How does hypnotherapy work?

In the deeply relaxed state induced by hypnosis, more of the brain is accessible than at any other time. Hypnotherapy is uniquely able to bypass the critical conscious mind, access and utilise the positive and much more powerful unconscious mind to remove deep-rooted problems in the subconscious. Other counselling and psychotherapy cannot do this.

Clinical studies have also found that brain activity and neuroplasticity; the brains natural ability to form new neural pathways and connections to effectively rewire itself, significantly increase in hypnosis.

How many hypnotherapy sessions will I need and how often are they?

Most patients are treated weekly and need around 4 to 6 sessions. However, some patients need just a single session. The more committed and motivated you are, the fewer sessions you need.

Do the achievements from hypnotherapy last?

Although hypnotherapy is brief therapy, the results are often long-term and often permanent.
